Our bread lady has been a bread maker since she was 5 years old, when under the tutelage of her mother and/or grandmother, she began making white bread by hand. She remembers using toothpicks to keep track of how many cups of flour she added to the bread. By the time she was 7, she had the recipe memorized and could be counted on to turn out great bread without the aid of a bread machine. She became the official bread maker for her family, making six loaves of bread twice a week.

When she got married 36 years ago, she learned to make whole wheat bread from her mother-in-law and has continued developing that art, refining the recipe, as she provided bread for her growing family, which consists of eight sons and finally a daughter! All of them, including the boys, learned to make bread, using the family’s best bread machine at the time, a Bosch bread mixer! How they all loved that wonderful invention!

Now as the family size at home has diminished, the bread lady has purchased bread makers that make bread making so EASY. She is continually experimenting to create new and better recipes that will be posted on this website.
